There are snowbirds here, but we also have a number of families who come here because it's place to get away from the city, yet not too far of a drive to get there. Situated on 218 acres along the North Shore of Gleniffer Lake with approximately 5000 feet of shoreline and sandy beaches, the resort offers numerous recreational and social activities including a challenging 3300 yard golf course that winds its way through the community and a 700 yard par 3 mini link course.

The resort features at 13,000 square-foot clubhouse with a restaurant, lounge, fitness room and games room; as well as laundry facilities, showers, an indoor heated pool with hot tub open year-round; and an outdoor pool. In phase 6 there is a new 2nd outdoor pool and hot tub. The General Store carries many staple foods as well as 18 different kinds of ice cream, movie rentals, propane and more. There are tennis and basketball courts, as well as an area for beach volleyball. The roads are paved creating a smooth surface for cycling and in-line skating.

The resort has a private boat launch, doc and marina. The lake has less traffic than Sylvan Lake so it is perfect for anyone who enjoys boating. You could also try your luck fishing the lake for trout, Pike and walleye, or travel a short distance to the nearby Dickson trout pond, a managed lake stocked each spring with rainbow trout.

Numerous social events are organized to help you get to know other owners and families such as dances, barbecues, beach parties, an annual golf tournament and more. Diane also hosts three events at the resort each year and provides prizes to other events as her way of giving back to the community that she resides in year-round.

Buyers will enjoy large deeded lots that are approximately 40' x 80'. This is a gated community and pride of ownership is evident throughout. As Gleniffer Lake is located in central Alberta, it makes this resort appealing to those that want a lake community and not have to commute too far. It's only minutes from the town of Spruce View that has a grocery store, hardware store, post office, restaurant and liquor store, motel and just a 40 Minute Drive to Red Deer. I have searched for "recreational properties in Alberta", "resort properties in Alberta" , and even "RV parks in Alberta". Very little comes up as Alberta lake communities, are limited.
