Pigeon
Lake, located west of highway # 2 on highway 13, is one of
Alberta's larger recreational lakes at 22 km. long and 11
km. wide. The Village of Pigeon Lake is a focal point with
its quaint, architecturally designed center. Travelers will
find an ice cream shop, dining, shopping, a grocery market,
a laundromat and a service station to name a few. During the
year there are many free special events held in the town square.
One annual event not to miss is the Annual Show & Shine
held in August.

The
lake features many unique recreational areas such as Mulhurst
Bay, Ma Me O Beach and Pigeon Lake Provincial Park
 Golf
can be played on any of the 5 courses within 15 minutes of
the lake. Water activities include boating, water skiing,
sailing, canoeing, fishing and of course swimming. Take a
summer hike or ride your bike on one of the trails where you
can watch the many species of birds in the area. During the
winter you can snowshoe, cross country ski or ice fish.
