HAPPY HOLIDAYS TO ALL COTTAGE OWNERS

BYLAW NEWS UPDATE- SYLVAN LAKE

The meeting was held on Saturday Dec 13th at the Fox Run School in the Fine Arts Centre. An estimated 50 people were in attendance at the workshop.

The town had organized 2 large boards at the front of meeting room .They addressed many of the issues brought forward at the original  Nov 24th meeting.

Many owners brought up points pertaining to the original issues and brought forward new points as a result of the revisions suggested by the town.

The process now is that the town will prepare a document to present to town council for their review. The next meeting is scheduled for Monday night January 26th 2004 at the town offices.

I requested that the revised proposed bylaw document be on the Town website so all owners can review and send along comments.

On January 26th the old bylaw proposal should be voted on and defeated, and a first reading should take place on the new document. Let’s all hope that is the process.

It is important that all owners keep checking the town site, or we will keep you updated on the www.greatcottages.com web site-Under  News/Updates. Check weekly.

I am proud of the support and solidarity shown by the owners in regards to this matter. The net result hopefully will be a document and regulations that we can all live with.

If you have any other comments or questions, please forward them to

info@greatcottages.com or forward to the mayor or the town offices.
