BYLAW UPDATE:

Nov 28th 2003

The town of Sylvan Lake has proposed a Bylaw that is designed in a manner to create many problems for owners of cottages, cabins and recreational properties. We need to oppose this bylaw.

The first meeting was held on Monday night at the town offices. About 50 owners appeared at the meeting( a complete surprise) to the town council for the 2nd reading of the bylaw.

Council has postponed a decision until the 2nd meeting in January. A number of presentations were made. The decision was made to hold a workshop of owners and town staff and council members.

The next meeting is scheduled for Saturday Dec 13th from 10 am until noon. More details to follow.

Please email your concerns to me at : info@greatcottages.com

And we will add them to the information already gathered.

Your attendance would be greatly appreciated. Please let us know if you can make the meeting on Dec 13th. Watch this News section for updates.

If possible, a  meeting would be held from 9 am-10 am before the scheduled meeting to form a cohesive front with the most important

Issues being addressed at this meeting.

Thank you for your participation.

Regards,

Rene Jaspar
